Rewarding

I have been working on Purple Leaves, Red Cherries for the last 18 months.

I have been working relentlessly, finding work hours at times I never thought possible, for the last 9 months.

My kids don’t understand what's taking me so long on the computer.

“Haven’t you already finished writing the book?”

“Are you working at home?” (Aren’t you still a full-time at-home mom?)

Today, I gave a presentation at my son’s school about my occupation (my new one!). I talked about how to write and publish a book, in terms that first graders understand.

The class was engaged and eager to learn.

I was delighted to share what I know.

And my son was so proud to have me as his mom.

A happy mom and a happy boy.
